Christianity can be described in a few easy to understand terms.

Christianity is believing in Jesus Christ as the Son of God.

Christianity is believing that Jesus Christ was both God and also a perfect human being.

Christianity is believing that the life that Jesus lived was without any sin (or flaw). He did nothing wrong. His life was as good and perfect as our lives should be.
Jesus allowed himself to be put to death as a sacrifice (or substitution) for the things we do wrong.

Christianity can also be used to describe the type of life a Christian should life, the beliefs they hold and the way they behave.

The basic beliefs are the same throughout the world but a Christian's life will be different in a poor country than in the richer Western Culture. Sometimes we integrate our own culture so much that it can be hard to understand what true Christianity is all about.

Instead of judging Christianity by the behaviour of Churches and individual Christians we should look at the life of Jesus Christ. You can read about His life in the four Gospels. These are the first four books of the New Testament. (The second part of the Bible). You can read a version of the Bible online click here
